Database Developers (Guwahati)

Zaloni India is looking for Database Developers who have passion for delivering superior customer experience and strong technical acumen. You must have strong desire to learn new technologies and be highly motivated and innovative with critical thinking skills.

Ø  Excellent knowledge of MySQL (Simple SELECT and JOIN statements will NOT be enough)

Ø  Hands on experience in MySQL 5.x, SQL coding, query optimization, database design, normalization etc.

Ø  Should have worked on mySQL on Linux platform,Should have used designing tools such as Erwin.

Ø  Coding standards, organizational programming skills and good commenting practices is important

Ø  Knowledge of Java or PHP, CSS, XML

Ø  Experience in performance tuning of applications

Ø  Very good troubleshooting skills to perform RCA and provide quick resolution.

Ø  Must be pleasant to work with.

Ø  Must know what they are doing without the aid of Google.

Ø  Must possess a severe obsession with detail.

Ø  Must be capable of reporting all activities related to task completion in a timely fashion.

Ø  Should have database core concepts

Ø  Sound knowledge of database key concepts (creating databases, modifying databases, deleting databases, creating tables, creating column definitions, defining a column’s null-ability, defining default values, defining primary keys, defining auto-increment columns, defining foreign keys, defining table types, modifying tables, deleting tables

Ø  Ability to apply entity relationships and normalization to real-life scenarios

Ø  Must know database inbuilt functions to minimize lines of code in the server side ( AVG(), MAX(), MIN(), COUNT(), SUM() not enough). Expert in Comparison functions, Control flow functions, String functions, Numeric functions, Date/Time functions.

Ø  Exporting, Copying, Importing data and Managing Backup, Recovery.

Ø   Advanced understanding of optimizing performance

Ø  Database connectivity through any one of the following languages - PHP, JSP, JAVA, Flex.

Ø  Should have understanding knowledge of Views, Stored Procedures & Basics of Triggers

Ø  Ability to work independently and initiate new ideas.

Ø  Strong problem-solving abilities.

Ø  Candidate should have 2-5 years in similar roles with excellent communication skills.
